About Martin Bayfield

Martin Bayfield is a former English rugby union player and current television presenter and actor. Born in 1966, Bayfield played as a lock forward for Northampton Saints and Bedford Blues, and earned 31 caps for England between 1991 and 1996. Known for his towering presence and athletic ability, Bayfield was also selected for the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand in 1993.

In addition to his rugby career, Bayfield has worked as a presenter for various sports programs and has appeared in films, utilizing his imposing stature in roles such as Hagrid’s body double in the Harry Potter series.
