About Mike Dean

Iconic Premier League referee Mike Dean officiated at the highest level of English football for 22 years. Famous for being a larger than life figure on the field, and to date the only referee to hand out over 100 red cards. Mike’s career has earned him great respect on a professional level, after so long dealing with all of football’s highest profile personalities which of course comes with plenty of anecdotes.

Outside of refereeing, Mike is an avid football fan. He follows Tranmere home and away with his daughter, caddies on the Ladies European tour and has a passion for horse racing.

Since his on field retirement, Mike has enjoyed working with football’s biggest broadcasters. He is a regular on Sky Sports’ Super Sunday and Soccer Saturday.
